To prepare for dark winter in the Arctic, Alaskans must hunt, fish, and overcome challenges as they travel through unfamiliar territories. With the last of the longer days coming to an end, they must take advantage of the fall season by stockpiling resources both new and old before the waterways freeze and winter’s brutal conditions overtake the land.
